Alright, let's be honest here
I won't bore you with how I started shooting and why.. (Actually it's pretty neat, but that will be for another day.) I am a moody/ intimate promptographer with a LOVE for capturing your most authentic moments full of love and laughter. What is a promptographer you ask? It's a relatively new term for those who aren't just there to point and shoot photos of all the forced smiles. My goal no matter what the session is to create an atmosphere SO FUN and SO FREE that even the most camera shy fellow cannot wait for the next prompt. I began using prompts because let's be 100% real here being candid is REALLY HARD! (Trust me without prompting I cannot "act natural" to save my life!)
A little about the crazy lady behind the camera
I am married to my high school sweetheart who HATES being photographed. (Match made in heaven, am I right?) Tyler and I have four beautiful daughters, who I can not (AND WILL NOT) shut up about. I think they're pretty cool if I do say so myself. We are also currently licensed foster parents. I am an avid child and foster care advocate. I photograph adoptions and seniors in care at absolutely no charge! Tyler and I are also fur parents to two sweet kitty's and two crazy pups who I will most definitely tell you all about if you even hint at asking. Here's a few things about me that may make or break our friendship; I am a lover of all things Supernatural, Harry Potter, and Marvel. (If you think Bobby Singer, Dobby, or Tony Stark deserved to die we can't be friends.) Coffee is gross- you go ahead and drink your hot bean water, but I will always pass and opt for a hot chocolate with milk! Goodwill, thrift stores and garage sales are MY JAM. Fall is the best season, I mean come on who doesn't love sweater weather, pumpkin patches, and all things spooky?? I am an avid light chaser, I will do just about anything to capture photos with a beautiful sunset. (Which sometimes means picking up our entire session and moving to catch that perfect light.) If you've made it this far, you are PHENOMENAL. I struggle with being a little to wordy with these things so I won't blame you if you skimmed it. Below are a few cool things I have been awarded in the past year, but to be completely honest with you those awards are NOTHING in comparison to seeing the excitement on the faces of my clients after they receive their photos and to see them hung/displayed in their homes. I would give all of these up to be able to see those reactions over and over again.
